My favourites from 2014
January twenty third, 2015
With February already quick approaching, I believed I’d have a look again at a number of the pretty desserts I used to be privileged to have been requested to make throughout 2014.
These are simply a few of my favourites. Fairly lace and hydrangeas for Sophia and Raffaele on the attractive Winkworth Farm in Wiltshire. Charlotte selected stunning shiny blooms for her late autumn marriage ceremony in Romsey, which we replicated in sugar for her cake. Lovely raspberry was Lauren’s theme for her marriage ceremony which we used within the ombre ruffles and blossom ball, completed with a putting edible gold tier, all delivered on a sunny November Saturday to the Kings Arms in Christchurch.
Jenny and Robin selected a fairly pink and peach theme for his or her marriage ceremony and we created a big show of cupcakes, mini desserts, biscuits and meringues on their beautiful dressing desk within the hallway at Previous Down Manor, Bristol. Chris and Cathy’s marriage ceremony was daring and shiny with colors of the Caribbean to replicate Cathy’s heritage. Orange, crimson and gold made for a putting marriage ceremony cake within the fantastically embellished Wick Farm Barn close to Marlborough.
Bare desserts are so very talked-about, and this gorgeous cake was topped with a home made sugar campervan made to match Sarah’s great camper marriage ceremony decorations. With roses one among my favorite flowers to make I liked the dusky pink cascade of sugar roses for Claire and Phil’s Wellington Barn marriage ceremony. Helen and Firhan’s marriage ceremony, in a stupendous marquee within the grounds of The Wardrobe, Salisbury in Wiltshire, was the place we delivered their beautiful 9 tier cake. Created for them in shades of pink with numerous gold highlights and over 600 flowers filling the tiers. Gary and Miriam selected attractive spring flowers in pale pink and ivory, which we replicated in sugar; peonies, roses, spray roses and freesia. Lastly, Eleanor’s cake was stacked with layers of sugar roses and blossoms in between every tier and regarded attractive at their beautiful venue, Westonbirt College, close to Tetbury.
This 12 months has additionally seen us journey far and broad, with cake deliveries to The Berkeley Resort in Knightsbridge, the beautiful Craig Y Nos Fort within the Brecon Beacons, The Kings Arms in Christchurch and the very fairly Birtsmorton Courtroom in Malvern. I’m very proud to be the beneficial cake provider at a number of pretty venues native to Wiltshire; Bowood Home, Winkworth Farm, Wellington Barn and Stanton Manor are just some of the venues I’m fortunate to ship to all year long.
With the summer season months of 2015 already virtually totally booked, this 12 months is trying to be equally thrilling with lot of attractive desserts and beautiful venues to ship to!
